So how do SME’s get their website higher up the search results? Using keywords most relevant to the business, which are underused by competitors, will generate the most search traffic to the SME’s website.
The keywords which are generating the most traffic can be found on Google Analytics and Google Search Control, which will also provide information on the websites that are linked to the SME’s website and what other pages the visitors look at. These keywords should be used in URL’s and page titles to improve website visibility; it is most beneficial to use longer phrases for keywords as visitors can find exactly what they’re looking for.
SEO helps Small Medium Enterprises compete by separating the SME website from larger competitors by moving the SME up the search results rankings. The people who then visit the SME website may then turn in to subscribers or customers, who then may become repeat customers, generating more business for the SME.
